The Pleasure Centre is a multi-disciplinary mental health service that offers confidential counselling, education, and support with one of our certified practitioners.
Our therapists all have post-graduate training in sexology, and degrees in mental health. They engage in continuing professional development consistently up-skilling in areas of sex, sexuality, relationships, and intimacy to maintain best professional practice.
We currently offer Telehealth (online) sessions.
This is a LGBTQIA+ friendly and informed service.

Sex therapy is a form of talk therapy. This is a specialty service, meaning our practitioners are trained to offer non-judgmental, and empathetic support when discussing sex, and relationships.

Relationship therapy offers support around maintaining romantic relationships. In this space a therapist will offer education, skill building, and accountability to equip partners with the skills to sustain their relationships.

Body Image is a common concern, and often affects sex, intimacy, and relationships.
Aleks, (our Director), has speciality training and 5 years of experience working with body image.
Common concerns include:
Body Image concerns causing psychological distress
Distressing relationship to food, and exercise
Fixation on weight and shape
Avoidance of sex and intimacy

Aleks (our Director) is trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), which is an evidence-based trauma therapy approach.
EMDR can be used for:
Distressing memories
Flashbacks
PTSD
Negative self-beliefs
Somatic symptoms (body remembering trauma despite it being over)

Our certified Mental Health Practitioners can offer general mental health support. However, we do not offer sessions under Medicare.
